Important ormolu and yellow Sienna marble mantel set depicting Urania, the Muse of Astronomy. She is seated on a sphere, itself resting on a stack of books. The dial, centred on a star, is surrounded by zodiac signs. Attached are a pair of bronze four-light tripod candelabras decorated with scrolls, squares, foliage and fruit. Three-lobed shafts in yellow Sienna marble (glued back together). All from the Restoration period. Height of the clock: 62 cm, height of the candelabras: 67 cm. To be revised.
