François Honoré Georges JACOB - DESMALTER et Georges JACOB rue Meslée (1803-1813) Parisian joiners and cabinet-makers: part of a mahogany and mahogany veneered salon, comprising four armchairs and a three-seater sofa. Armchairs with flat, slightly sloping backs, connected to round-section armrests, supported by balusters topped with a lotus leaf capital. They stand on "Jacob" baluster front legs and sabre back legs. Decorated with scrolls and palmettes. H: 94.4 cm - W: 61.8 cm - D: 55.5 cm. The sofa has a rectangular back with upholstered cheeks. It stands on small baluster feet. Red silk upholstery with amphora motifs and laurel garlands (fabric wear). H: 97.2 cm - W: 196.4 cm - D: 70 cm. Stamped "JACOB. D/R. MESLEE" under the front belts - Empire period (very good condition).
