Model 1867/94 spiked helmet of the 2nd Guard Dragoon Regiment, with a patent-leather crown, square visor, nickel-silver fittings, front plate bearing a large eagle with the motto ‘SUM CUIQUE’ in the centre, detachable spire with a ‘Perlring’ on a cross-shaped base, rear band with two fixing studs, chinstrap with domed gilded brass scales, Reich and Prussian cockades, blackened leather inner lining with its lace, neck strap stamped with ‘BAG’, dated 1912 and ‘2.G.D.R’, not re-punched.
