HEADGEAR. 1884-model kepi of the 51st RIT (Langres) in madder-dyed cloth, dark blue band with the number in white numerals sewn on originally, leather chin strap, brass buttons with a pomegranate motif blackened with paint, sheepskin lining with a marked disc (illegible), linen canvas frame, octagonal stamps from the 7th Corps inspector, leather peak stamped with the octagonal seal and the admission triangle, leather chin strap.
