MEMORABILIA. LIBERATION OF PARIS. A collection of leaflets, instructions on the use of German and Allied weapons and grenades, notices issued following the landings of 6 June 1944, including preparations for an uprising on tissue paper, an interesting map of the Invalides district of Paris on tracing paper with annotations likely indicating German barricades or posts, and a handwritten note “I am asked to specify the names and titles of individuals with particular expertise in: automatic weapons and grenades, explosives and demolition…” the collection originating from the Francs-tireurs-partisans-français (FTPF), also included are badges from youth work camps and the Scouts (the Louis Le Grand High School troop), and two FFI armbands, one stamped by the town hall of Paris’s 17th arrondissement, the other bearing the rank of lieutenant and stamped ‘FFI SUD’, a collection of underground newspapers from 1944, including *L’Humanité*, *La France en armes*, *Les Lettres Françaises*, *L’Université Libre*, *Le Palais Libre*, etc. BE This collection of documents on the Liberation of Paris and its preparations comes from Pierre GOLDSCHILD-JOURDEL (1919–2001), a scout, student, member of the youth work camps and later the FFI, who took part in the liberation of Paris.
