Description
DOCUMENTS – MEMORABILIA. A collection of documents, including correspondence – notably from Buchenwald – as well as decorations and Liberation badges relating to the Mouillet family of Bourges, including Charles, an officer and member of the ‘Vengeance’ resistance network, who was arrested on 27 March 1944, deported to Buchenwald on 11 May 1944, and died at the Ellrich camp on 11 April 1945 after being seriously wounded by Allied machine-gun fire and then finished off by a German soldier (the latter was later tracked down, tried and hanged by Allied troops). Attached are photographs and decorations of other military personnel from the family, including the DENIZOT family. ABE
