1816 model cavalry sabre. Curved blade with a rounded back in a ‘reed’ shape, engraved ‘Manufacture Royale de Klingenthal, January 1822’. Light grey metal finish with hallmarks by Bick and Lobstein and numbered 392 on the heel. Slightly short blade, 87.5 cm; total length 102.5 cm. Three-branch brass mount, numbered on the crossguard, tang covered with filigree sheepskin. Good scabbard, free from damage, with two rings.
