Gendarmerie carbine, Model 1825. Lock plate marked ‘Manufacture Royale de Saint-Etienne’, in working order. Markings ‘1832’ on the left side of the barrel and ‘Mle 1825’ on the breech. Fairly good condition grey metal, very slight oxidation on the barrel near the muzzle due to long-term storage. Beautiful light walnut stock. Category D.
