Description
A pair of shooting or duelling pistols, attributed to Captain Guichard. Front locks, marbled and decorated with fine scrollwork of foliage. Octagonal, fluted barrels, approximately 11 mm calibre, rifled and wedge-mounted. The upper section of each barrel is engraved ‘To Captain Guichard 12 November 1884’. All fittings in marbled steel, with trigger guards featuring finger rests. Numbers 1 and 2 marked in gold on each pistol at the trigger guard and the breech. Works very well. Striated walnut grips with a fine checkered pattern. Very fine condition. Category D.
