Model 1859 flintlock rifle. Rear lock plate clearly marked ‘Manufacture Impériale de Tulle’, in working order, with strong springs and no play. Barrel in good condition, with clear rifling, little oxidation, marked ‘MI’ on the right-hand side. The metal has a light grey finish, with very slight orange peel in places, but otherwise retains its original polish. Beautiful butt plate stamped ‘MI July 1861’.
