Unmodified Model 1777 infantry musket, serial number AN9. Functional lock, marked ‘Manufacture de Charleville’, dated 81 and stamped ‘F’, with a recessed firing pin. Clearly marked ‘M1777’ on the breech block. Barrel dated 81. Screw-on muzzle cap. All fittings stamped ‘F’. Pear-shaped ramrod (slightly short), trigger guard marked ‘Oudiot’. Light grey metal finish in good condition. Walnut stock with a fine period patina. Trigger guard replaced. Overall length 152.5 cm, barrel length 113. Includes matching bayonet. Category D.
