Description
Infantry officer’s sabre, Model 1882. Multi-branch brass hilt (damaged), straight blade with a flat back and a single hollow edge. Also included is an Infantry Officer’s sword, Model 1816. Brass hilt with a fixed crossguard decorated with a fleur-de-lis. Blade with two fuller grooves over 40 cm, decorated with etching, then in a lozenge pattern towards the point; shows signs of oxidation.
