Elegant flintlock pocket pistol, 35 mm round barrel, engraved case with plant motifs, hammer safety, flat squared stock decorated with nails, engraved retractable trigger, AF hallmark under crown (Auguste Francotte), wear, oxidation, BE, 155 mm TL, carefully made in Liège in the early 19th century, category D § e.
A very rare example from the early days of the Auguste Francotte company, founded in 1810. The examples before 1850/60 are particularly rare because the beginning of the production is confidential.
