Prussian Guard rifle, Model 1742. A rare rifle from the Prussian Guard under Frederick the Great. Round barrel stamped ‘FIS’; flat-bodied lock engraved with ‘POTSDAMMAGAZ’ and ‘D.S.E.’. Chiselled brass fittings (small chip on the barrel ring). Thumb rest engraved with a monogram beneath a crown. Walnut stock, two iron slings (one broken). Iron ramrod. Barrel length: 104 cm (total length 145 cm). Very good condition
