Model 1816 officer’s sword signed by the Parisian armourer Manceaux, with a straight blade measuring 810 mm, featuring a double half-pan design and marked ‘Manufacture Royale du Klingenthal’ on one side and dated April 1822 on the other, silver-plated brass hilt with a single branch and a pump-style guard stamped ‘FM’ (to be unlocked); on the main guard, traces of the attachment for the fleur-de-lis, which was removed following the change of regime, ball-shaped pommel and silver filigree tang; scabbard missing; signs of wear and oxidation; total length 975 mm; France, Second Restoration period.
