A cassette set containing two Devillers .44-calibre assault pistols, the case inscribed on the lid with ‘LEPAGE Frères, 12 rue Martel, Paris’, the top drawer lined in the French style with green felt and containing two .44 Devillers calibre pistols (numbered 1/125 and 2/125), with 275 mm octagonal rifled barrels, marbled frame, opened by a serpentine key, trigger guard with finger guard allowing the attachment of a protective shell, checkered grip with marbled pommel, (front sight missing, otherwise in very good condition), a magazine holding six reduced-calibre cartridges; the base of the cartridge case contains the protective caps and their screws; wear and missing patches on the felt, key present, case measuring 575 x 245 x 105 mm, Belgian-made in the late 19th century for indoor shooting, category D § e.
