Model 1822 T percussion skirmisher’s rifle, of the 9th Light Infantry Regiment. Round barrel with fluted breech dated ‘1827’ and stamped. Rear part of the breechblock with rear sight stamped ‘Mle 1822 T’. Trigger guard marked ‘Mre Rle de St Etienne’ and round-bodied hammer. Iron fittings. Stock plate stamped ‘9 Lr’ (9th Light). Walnut stock with a stamp bearing the barrel’s serial number. Length: 141 cm. A.B.E. (Pitting and minor insect damage). With bayonet in scabbard (53.5 cm).
