1842 T-model gendarmerie flintlock musket. Round-bore barrel with fluted rifling, hallmarked and dated ‘1851’. Breech block marked ‘1842 T’ and featuring a rear sight. Flat-backed trigger guard, stamped and engraved ‘Mre Nle de Châtellerault’. Stamped brass fittings. Walnut stock bearing a hallmark, the Châtellerault mark and the barrel’s serial number. Iron ramrod with a truncated conical head. A.B.E. (Minor pitting). Barrel length: 75.5 cm. Overall length: 115 cm. With a scabbard bayonet (Lg: 53 cm).
