1836 T model lancers’ flintlock musket, attributed to the 6th Lancers Regiment. Round-bore flintlock barrel, calibrated and dated 1833. Breechblock stamped ‘1836 T’ with a rear sight. Firing mechanism hallmarked and signed ‘Mre Rle de Mutzig’; round-bodied hammer. Brass and hallmarked iron fittings. Butt plate stamped ‘6 L’. Walnut stock with a stamp dated 1838 and the Mutzig mark. Muzzle, barrel, lock and stock all bear the same serial number ‘127’ Length: 87 cm A.B.E.
