Model 1786 ship’s flintlock musket, manufactured during the First Empire.
Round barrel with fluted breech, marked with an anchor. Flat-bodied lock engraved ‘Mre Imple De Tulle’ and round-bodied hammer. Fittings, muzzle cap with internal spring blade and brass flanges (traces of hallmarking on some). Stock plate engraved ‘184’. Walnut stock with numerous markings, including an anchor, ‘S INSPT 1806’, ‘P.C 33’ and artisan’s marks. Iron rib, flared at the rear end.
