Flintlock musket used by cadets at military schools, Model 1817.
Round barrel with fluted breech, hallmarked ‘DT’ and dated 1818.
Lock stamped ‘Mre ROYALE DE VERSAILLES’ and round-bodied hammer. Brass fittings hallmarked D (except for the muzzle cap, which is unhallmarked, and the rear plate, hallmarked ‘H’). Walnut stock. Iron ramrod hallmarked D.
