Model 1822 T Bis naval percussion rifle. Round barrel with fluted breech, stamped, numbered and dated 1826. Butt plate engraved ‘Mle 1822 T Bis’ with rear sight. Lock engraved ‘Mre Rle de Tulle’ and round-bodied hammer. Brass fittings; butt plate and trigger guard stamped ‘C’ beneath a crown. Walnut stock with remnants of the serial number ‘925’ matching that on the barrel, a date stamp from 1826 and markings from St Etienne and Mutzig. Iron ramrod with a nail-head tip. Barrel length: 102 cm. Overall length: 141.5 cm. Sheath bayonet with central ferrule (length 53 cm). A.B.E. (Cleaned, barrel markings re-stamped)
