Model 1822 T percussion musket. Round-bore fluted barrel with a thunder-head, stamped and dated ‘1827’ (date re-stamped). Brass sight. Breech block stamped ‘Mle 1822 T’. Trigger guard stamped ‘Mre Rle de Mutzig’ with a brass disc at the tail. Round-bodied hammer. Brass fittings with traces of various hallmarks. Iron ramrod with two rings. Stock plate and muzzle engraved ‘22’. Walnut stock with a stamp dated ‘1837’. Barrel length: 50 cm. Overall length: 88 cm. Condition: Heavy wear and pitting; brass disc added later.
