Model 1846 T percussion rifle. Round barrel with fluted breech, stamped and dated ‘1849’, with a rear sight set to 1,100 m. Breech block stamped ‘Mle 1846 T’. Rear lock plate engraved ‘Mre Nle de St Etienne’. Stamped iron fittings. Walnut stock with hallmark (insect holes filled). Iron ramrod with a thick head. Barrel length: 86.5 cm. Overall length: 126 cm. A.BE. With a Model 1842 bayonet sabre (round push-button) length: 69 cm. Marked ‘Manufre Imple de Châtellerault July 1855’. Single serial number.
