1842 T model dragoon percussion rifle Round barrel with fluted breech, dated 1848, hallmarked. Breech marked ‘Mle 1842 T’ (the ‘T’ has been erased). Rear lock plate engraved ‘Mre Nle de St Etienne’. Brass fittings uniformly hallmarked. Butt plate stamped ‘3 C < A’. Walnut stock (showing wear) with a 1848 stamp bearing the same serial number as the barrel. Iron ramrod. Barrel length: 92 cm. Overall length: 131 cm. A.B.E. With scabbard bayonet (53 cm).
