Model 1837 percussion naval pistol.
Round barrel with flattened sides. Breech block marked ‘Mle 1837’ (the 7 has been erased). Rear trigger guard engraved ‘Mre Rle de Châtellerault’. Stamped brass fittings, with an anchor on the cap. Cleaning rod on the trigger guard and iron belt hook. Walnut stock with an iron strap on the top of the stock.
Serial number ‘3025’ on the barrel, the stock and the cleaning rod slot.
