Model 1763–66 saddle pistol, known as the ‘1775’ model.
Round barrel with flat spots at the muzzle, marked ‘75’. The breech block is engraved with ‘1775’. Flat-bodied lock engraved ‘Manufacture de St Etienne’ and hallmarked. Round-bodied hammer. Brass fittings (showing wear), muzzle cap hallmarked ‘IR’. Iron ramrod. Walnut stock with the hallmarks ‘VALET’ and ‘SB beneath a crown’.
