Description
HELMETS. FRANCE. 1951/53 model paratrooper’s helmet, liner and shell repainted in sand colour with a black badge on the back of the liner, with a canvas liner and chin strap, leather chin strap, manufactured by CELORON, fine-mesh camouflage netting, French individual bandage with elastic. BE The sand finish is typical of the 2nd RPC at Suez in November 1956 (Operation Amilcar) but also of the 1st REP, which landed during the amphibious operation that followed. The black badge is thought to denote the support company of the 2nd RPC.
