Wounded French sailor floating in oil-mixed water holding the stained and torn French tricolour flag, with the silhouettes of three warships visible in the background. Probably issued by the Vichy services after the bombardment of the French fleet by the British at Mers-El6kébir, 1940. Some wear and patina, as well as a few stains, tears and fold marks.
