GUERRA DI SPAGNA BATTAGLIONE D'ASSALTO LUPI OMS badge. Handle badge, painted metal, some missing central paintwork, but also on the border. Three fixing points. No visible markings. The shield (scudetto) of the Battaglione d'Assalto Lupi (Assault Battalion Wolves) is an arm badge worn by Blackshirt volunteers (CC.NN.) of the MVSN during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). This was a specialised shock unit of the Militia, part of the C.T.V. (Corpo Truppe Volontarie), the expeditionary force sent by Mussolini to support Franco. Some wear and patina. Condition II+.
