Cross of the 11a Armata. Black enamelled metal. Well marked 11 a Armata. Ribbon missing. Markings on back Veemeza E Tenacia 16 November 1940 XIX. The Cross of the 11th Army (11ª Armata) is an Italian commemorative decoration of the Second World War, specifically related to the Greek and Balkan Campaign (1940-1943). The 11th Army, commanded by General Carlo Geloso, operated mainly on the Greek-Albanian front. After the capitulation of Greece, it remained as an occupying force in mainland Greece and the Ionian Islands until the armistice of September 1943. Some wear and patina. Condition II+. Cross of the 11a Armata. Enamelled metal construction. Well marked 11a Armata. Ribbon absent. Markings on the reverse 11a Tenacia 16 Novembre 1940 XIX.
