RSI Xa FLOTTIGLIA MAS DISTINTIVO POLA 1943-1945. Silver-coloured metal, enamelled Italian flag. Attachment present but incomplete, lower attachment missing. After the armistice of September 1943, the town of Pola (now Pula in Croatia) became the main training and operational base for Decima MAS units loyal to Junio Valerio Borghese. These included the "NP" Battalion (Parachute Swimmers) and the surface assault units (explosive boats). Some wear and patina. Condition II+. RSI Xa FLOTTIGLIA MAS DISTINTIVO POLA 1943-1945. Silver coloured metal, enamelled Italian flag. Main attachment absent, lower attachment intact. After the armistice of September 1943, the city of Pola, today Pula in Croatia, became the principal training and operational base for the Decima MAS units that remained loyal to Junio Valerio Borghese. Included among these were the "NP" Battalion, Arditi Parachutists, and surface assault units operating explosive boats. Showing honest wear and patina. Condition II+.
