JR93 Anhalt M1895 spiked helmet. Blackened leather shell, all brass fittings. Well marked inside in white paint A.J.R.93 1898 I.B. 1.C. as befits this regiment, and in red paint 1898, and also in ink a small stamp A.J.R.93 also typical of this unit. Prussian eagle plate with FUERST banner, with the arms of Anhalt in the centre. One eagle trigger guard and sceptre re-welded old, one nut missing from the centre. The plate fits the bomb perfectly with a nice impression. The base is original. Remainder of a paper nominette inside. Good roundels and chinstrap. Dark leather wolf tooth cap, wear, small missing. A helmet in its original condition. M1895 spiked helmet of JR93 of Anhalt. Blackened leather shell with all brass fittings. Well marked internally in white paint A.J.R.93 1898 I.B. 1.C., as expected for this regiment, also with red painted 1898 marking and a small ink stamp A.J.R.93, likewise typical of the unit. Prussian eagle plate with FUERST scroll and central arms of Anhalt. One eagle loop and the sceptre previously repaired by soldering, one central nut missing. The plate fits the shell perfectly and retains a strong imprint. Spike base originally mounted. Remains of a paper name label inside. Fine cockades and chinstrap. Dark leather wolf-tooth liner with wear and minor losses. An untouched helmet retaining all its character.
