NCO helmet of the Leib Grenadier Regiment 109 Baden. M1891 helmet in blackened leather, not pierced but with slightly large holes. All fittings nickel silver. Baden griffin plaque with star of the Order of Fidelity of the House of Baden. Attached by original welded threaded rods. One nut missing. Original unscrewable point on round base. Good chinstrap with large nickel silver keys, one repair to one of the seams. Old model Landkokarde. Left side a Prussian NCO Landkokarde. Dark leather wolf tooth headpiece. Remainder of R109 marking on the nape of the neck. Wear and tear, patina. Helmet of a Baden Leib Grenadier Regiment 109 NCO. M1891 blackened leather helmet, unrepaired though with slightly enlarged holes. All fittings in German silver. Baden griffin plate with the star of the Order of Fidelity of the House of Baden. Original soldered threaded post fixings. One nut missing. Removable spike on round base, originally mounted. Fine chinstrap with large German silver scales, one repaired seam. Early pattern Baden state cockade. On the left side a Prussian NCO state cockade. Dark leather wolf-tooth liner. Remains of R109 marking on the rear visor. Honest wear and patina.
