Description
Officer's cross of the military order of Savoy. A very fine metal cross with four equal lanceolate branches covered in white enamel. Between the arms is a garland of oak on the right and laurel on the left, enamelled in green. On the obverse, in the centre of the cross, on a red enamelled medallion is a Savoy cross in white enamel around which is written, in a circle in red or white enamel, Al Merito Militare. The centre back is missing. The ribbon is trimmed with a red stripe between two azure blue stripes, with a complete rosette. Some wear and patina. Condition II+. Officer's Cross of the Military Order of Savoy Fine metal cross with four equal pointed branches covered in white enamel. Between the branches runs a green-enamelled oak and laurel wreath. On the obverse, at the centre, a red-enamelled medallion with a white-enamelled Savoy cross and the inscription Al Merito Militare. Central rear medallion missing. Ribbon of one red band between two blue bands, complete with rosette. Some wear and patina noted. Condition II+.
