Description
Heer officer's dagger model 1935. Engraved blade, made by Emil Voos. Certainly the most sought-after dagger with an engraved blade at the time. This is a typical Emil Voos production. The fuse is a beautiful orange colour with no damage. The pommel, ferrule and guard are in cast brass covered with high quality silver plating, as is typical of early production. A small piece of leather is fixed under the guard to seal the scabbard and cushion the impact when the blade is inserted into the scabbard. The blade bears the maker's mark with GES. GESCHÜTZ. We are therefore dealing with an early blade, as this wording disappears later on. The manufacturer's mark, which is not surrounded by a circular line, confirms this. The engraving visible on both sides of the blade is in perfect condition and of the type specific to this manufacturer. The scabbard is made of silver-plated steel as it was when this model was first produced. The dagger comes with its regulation strap. A fine piece to complete a collection of Heer daggers. Heer officer dagger Model 1935 with engraved blade by Emil Voos. Considered one of the most sought-after standard engraved blades of its time, typical of Emil Voos production. The grip has a fine orange tone and is undamaged. Pommel, ferrule, and guard in cast brass with high-quality silver plating characteristic of early manufacture. A small leather buffer under the guard ensures tight fit and protects the blade when inserted into the scabbard. The blade bears the Emil Voos maker mark above the GES. GESCHÜTZ notation, confirming early production before this marking was discontinued. The maker mark without circular border further indicates an early example. The double-sided engraving is in perfect condition and typical of this manufacturer. The steel scabbard is silvered, as found on early production pieces. Complete with regulation portepee. A fine piece representative of early Heer dagger production.
