Paletot colonial 1873. Regulation porpoise jacket made of dark blue woollen cloth and fastened with two rows of five buttons bearing the Colonial Army coat of arms. Collar tabs with the number 7 in madder-coloured cloth corresponding to the 7th RIC. No lining, unbleached cotton pockets bearing various costume designer stamps including Lange and a stamp of the 8th Colonial Infantry. Several small tears. Colonial greatcoat 1873 pattern. Regulation marsouin greatcoat in dark blue wool cloth fastening with two rows of five colonial infantry buttons. Collar tabs bearing the red cloth numeral 7 for the 7th Colonial Infantry Regiment. Unlined interior, ecru cotton pocket linings stamped with various costumier marks including Lange and a stamp of the 8th Colonial Infantry. Several small snags and areas of wear.
