Commander's kepi of the 25th RTA. Made of madder-coloured cloth, sky-blue headband, original sewn commander's ranks. On the front of the kepi is the crescent moon surrounding the number 25, both embroidered in gold cannetille. This attribute corresponds to the 25th Algerian Tirailleur Regiment. Flat gold-plated chinstrap held in place by two small smooth buttons. Leather visor and chinstrap, black leather sweatband with a 1cm tear at the back and 2cm missing at the back seam, black silk lining. Height 9.5cm. Major's kepi of the 25th Algerian Tirailleurs Regiment. Constructed in garance cloth with sky-blue band and original major rank insignia. Front badge consisting of a crescent moon surrounding the numeral 25 in gilt bullion embroidery for the 25th Algerian Tirailleurs Regiment. Flat gilt false chinstrap secured by two small plain buttons. Leather visor and edging. Black leather sweatband with a 1 cm tear at the rear and a 2 cm loss along the rear seam. Black silk lining.
