African troops headdress set. Comprising a képi of the 1st RTM made of sky blue cloth, sky blue soutache topped with small gold piping. Top in madder-coloured cloth, number 1 and openwork star embroidered in cannetille, gilded false chinstrap held in place by two smooth gilded buttons. Plastic visor, under the headband is a general dated November 1962. A red wool felt fez, model 1879, with a black leather headband showing the year 1946 and size 62. Army of Africa headgear grouping. Comprising a kepi of the 1st Moroccan Tirailleurs Regiment tailored in sky-blue cloth with sky-blue soutache surmounted by narrow gilt piping. Garance cloth top. Numeral 1 and openworked star embroidered in bullion. Gilt false chinstrap secured by two plain gilt buttons. Plastic visor. A newspaper dated November 1962 is placed beneath the sweatband. Included is an 1879 pattern chéchia in red felted wool with black leather sweatband marked 1946 and size 62.
