Moroccan Tirailleurs 1942 kepi. Képi for a senior officer corresponding to the September 1942 regulations, made entirely of khaki woollen cloth. A brass Cherifian star and crescent moon are attached to the front of the kepi. False chinstrap, also in khaki wool, held in place by two smooth gold buttons. Leather visor and piping, black leather sweatband bearing the Prost hatmaker's mark in Rabat, black silk lining. Height 9.5cm. Uncommon headdress in good condition. 1942 pattern kepi of the Moroccan Tirailleurs. Senior cadre kepi conforming to the September 1942 regulations entirely tailored in khaki wool cloth. Front fitted with applied brass chérifienne star and crescent moon. Khaki cloth false chinstrap secured by two plain gilt buttons. Leather visor and edge trim. Black leather sweatband bearing the mark of hatter Prost in Rabat. Black silk lining. Height 9.5 cm. Scarce headgear in good overall condition.
