Description
151st marching battalion pennant. Two-sided pennant made locally in the Far East. One side is embroidered with the gold thread Bataillon 151 de Marche, the other side shows a fortified tower embroidered with the same thread. The original TOE single-palm war cross is sewn onto the pennant with its ribbon, the length of which is specific to pennants, the ribbon having left its mark after the pennant was exposed to sunlight. Fringed on three sides in gold cannetille. The marching battalion of the 151st RI was created on 1 January 1947 in Indochina. It was awarded the TOE in November 1948 and was disbanded on 1 January 1949. Size 44x39cm. Pennant of the 151st March Battalion. Double-sided pennant locally manufactured in the Far East. One side embroidered in gold thread with the inscription Bataillon 151 de Marche while the reverse bears a fortified tower embroidered in the same manner. An original Overseas War Theatre Croix de Guerre with palm and its full-length ribbon specific to pennants is sewn to the piece, the ribbon having left sun-fading marks on the fabric. Gold bullion fringe on three sides. The marching battalion of the 151st Infantry Regiment was formed in Indochina on 1 January 1947, decorated with the TOE Croix de Guerre in November 1948 and dissolved on 1 January 1949.
