Description
US TAP helmet. USM1 fixed bridge helmet, lot number 481C, repainted by the French Army and with chinstraps replaced by riveted leather chinstraps made by the French Army. Bomb with 1951 French made net. Westinghouse made American parachute helmet with almost 90% of its factory paint, canvas suspension present and complete, sweatband present. Small leather chinstrap with iron buckle painted in green. With its US OD3 canvas chinstrap with twice four holes, a repair between the last two eyelets of one end. US TAP helmet. Fixed-bale US M1 helmet with heat lot number 481C, repainted by the French Army and fitted with French-made riveted leather chinstraps replacing the original web straps. Shell fitted with a French-made 1951 camouflage net. American airborne liner manufactured by Westinghouse retaining approximately 90 percent of its original factory paint. Complete web suspension and sweatband present. Small leather chinstrap with green-painted roller buckle. Retains its OD3 US chin cup with dual rows of four adjustment holes and a repair between the final two eyelets on one side.
