Description
Dupont lighter by Pierre Guillaume alias Crabe Tambour. Exclusive Dupont silver-plated brass petrol lighter presented by one of Pierre Guillaume's sons to Patrice de LR. in 1961 in Algiers. Pierre Guillaume, alias "Crabe Tambour", was an officer in the French navy who had served in Indochina and Algeria and was a member of the OAS. The front of the lighter features a map of Indochina intertwined with a Dragon and marked Drago. Under the lighter is the marking S. T Dupont Exclusivité Drago Paris. The number is not very legible but PX289 can be identified. The lighter needs to be serviced and we do not guarantee its use although all the original parts are present. Attached is a small 4-page dossier on the origin of the lighter. S.T. Dupont lighter belonging to Pierre Guillaume alias Crabe Tambour. Silver-plated brass petrol lighter marked Dupont Exclusivité Drago, presented by one of Pierre Guillaume's sons to Patrice de LR in 1961 in Algiers. Pierre Guillaume, known as Crabe Tambour, was a French naval officer, veteran of Indochina and Algeria, and member of the OAS. Front of the lighter decorated with a map of Indochina entwined with a dragon and bearing the inscription Drago. Base marked S.T Dupont Exclusivité Drago Paris. Serial number only partially legible though PX289 can be identified. The lighter requires servicing and functionality cannot be guaranteed despite all original components being present. Accompanied by a four-page dossier detailing the provenance of the lighter.
