Description
TAP training helmet, 1945 model. Third version, aluminium shell painted khaki, several dents on top. Engraved on the front Coco, fine circular leather padding, 3rd type leather low flaps protecting the ears bearing an illegible reception stamp and the name of a paratrooper. Inner leather headband covered in foam, canvas trim complete and in good condition, chin strap in fine black leather lined with chamois. All leathers are supple and in good condition. Model 1945 TAP training helmet. Third-pattern airborne training helmet with aluminium shell painted khaki and showing several dents to the crown. Front engraved with the name Coco. Fine circular leather bumper edging. Third-pattern leather ear flaps retaining an illegible acceptance stamp together with the name of a paratrooper. Interior leather sweatband padded with foam. Complete canvas fittings in good condition. Fine black leather chinstrap lined with chamois leather. All leather components remain supple and well preserved.
