Description
Pennant of the Phúc Yên Football Club. Pennant of the Phúc Yên football team (north of Hanoi) presented to Officer Gesnestout (commanding officer of the 1st RCP in 1961) during his stay in Indochina. Made entirely of silk, one side features the 5 Olympic rings surrounded by the motto Hoi Thé Thao Yên Phuc (Yên Phuc Sports Club). On the other side is a rooster surmounting a football bearing the words Corona Football Super. The pennant is edged with a flat daffodil braid. Although the fringes are missing, the pennant is in good condition. Dimensions 48cm X 67cm. Phúc Yên Football Club pennant. Pennant of the Phúc Yên football team from North Hanoi, presented to officer Gesnestout, commanding officer of the 1st RCP in 1961 during his service in Indochina. Entirely made from silk. One side displays the five Olympic rings surrounded by the motto Hoi Thé Thao Yên Phuc for the Yên Phuc Sports Club. The reverse features a rooster standing above a football inscribed Corona Football Super. Edged with jonquil-yellow flat braid. Despite the absence of the fringe, the pennant remains in good overall condition. Dimensions 48 x 67 cm.
