Typical headdress of the first French elements in the Far East, with a few tears and seams that have given way. Gurkha beret. Commonwealth manufacture assembled from four sections of khaki cotton fabric with four brass ventilation eyelets. Ecru cotton lining marked size 7 1/4 together with maker stamp EEMD 45. Typical headgear used by the first French elements deployed to the Far East. Displays several tears and split seams.
