Description
Model 1933 Carl Eickhorn SS dagger. This dagger is typical of the first pieces to come out of the famous Carl Eickhorn factories after the model was definitively adopted. All the fittings are in nickel silver. The Roman numeral I stamped on the back of the hilt indicates that this dagger passed through the SS control and distribution centre in München. A few discreet marks of use on the fuse, but no chips. Spotless blade with fine engraving of the motto. Manufacturer's markings typical of early blade production. Scabbard missing. Very good condition. Featured on page 29 of the reference book L'ordre noir, Armes blanches, traditions et symbolique published by Heimdal in 2023.
