Description
SS dagger model 1933 Gottlieb Hammesfahr. This is an early model, recognisable by its nickel silver fittings (dagger and scabbard) and the tanning that covers 98% of the scabbard. The fuse is virtually untouched and the Roman numeral III stamped on the back of the hilt indicates that this item passed through the SS control and distribution centre in Berlin. The blade is in very good condition with a fine engraving of the motto. A fine example of the early period. SS Dagger Model 1933 Gottlieb Hammesfahr Early production identified by nickel silver fittings on both dagger and scabbard and by the 98% intact blued scabbard finish. The grip shows almost no impact marks and the crossguard bears the Roman numeral III stamped on the reverse, indicating inspection through the SS control center in Berlin.
