A pair of Navy Artillery binoculars, 7 x 50, made of black-lacquered light metal, covered in blackened imitation leather. Markings on the plates: the left-hand plate bears the Royal Navy sovereignty insignia surrounded by ‘M IV/1, Carl Zeiss Jena, D.F. 7 x 50, 1969542’; the right-hand plate bears ‘Artl. Nr 5802’. Scale markings on the right. With spring-mounted lens cover, attachment loop and black leather strap. Black leather case, stamped with the Royal Navy’s sovereignty insignia surrounded by ‘M IV/1’, with its strap, lined inside with ecru canvas. (Stain on the right-hand lens, minor signs of wear).
