Description
A fine Dragoon officer’s helmet with crest, 1874 model. The helmet body, visor and neck guard are nickel-plated. The crest features godrons, a grenade-shaped plate, and gilded rings and scale-patterned chin straps. The crest is fitted with a braid of black horsehair. Black leather inner lining with gold-embossed edging. With two plumes, one red and gold-olive, the other tricolour, in their tubes. The set is presented in its blackened wooden case, with a spare mane. Very good condition (some wear to the black paint). Expert: Gaëtan Brunel
